This weekend we celebrated my dad's 70th birthday.Nice cake and silly games were involved. A good time was had by all. And he doesn't seem a day over 45! Old, what's that?
We all went down to my Mum and Dad's yesterday to celebrate Mum's birthday. She was very brave and volunteered to take the dog out for a walk with us. Northam Burrows was freezing, but the dog had a good time and we all appreciated the warmth when we got back indoors.
We had a lovely tea of pizza and chips, with lots of other things thrown in besides, even though she said she didn't want to cook! And of course - birthday cake (s). Hope you like the picture Mum, it was either this one or the one of you looking like a goldfish as you blew out the candles!
Despite the wind and the rain we all went out to stretch our legs today. We strolled along the beach at Saunton, along with many other dog walkers, and Willow ran round like a mad-thing after her new frisbee. It was most confusing the way it seemed to hang in the air and then be blown off in the other direction.
The Sands Cafe was open, so when we'd exercised enough we left the dog in the car and went for hot chocolate before coming home to settle down in front of a film. What a great start to the new year. I've a feeling this is going to be a good one.
